# Family Ping > Family Ping is a free, consent-based family safety app for iPhone and Android by > Editerra AB (Sweden). One family member shares their latest known status with one > trusted helper: an "I am okay" check-in, an SOS that rings the helper's phone > loudly, and alerts when the member leaves or returns to a safe place they chose > themselves. There is no covert tracking, no route history, no continuous live > location, no advertising and no sale of data. SOS alerts do not call emergency > services. Available on the App Store and Google Play. ## Pages - [Home](https://familyping.editerra.se/) - [Support](https://familyping.editerra.se/support.html) - [Privacy policy](https://familyping.editerra.se/legal/privacy.html) (also [Swedish](https://familyping.editerra.se/legal/privacy-sv.html), [Romanian](https://familyping.editerra.se/legal/privacy-ro.html)) - [Terms of service](https://familyping.editerra.se/legal/terms.html) (also [Swedish](https://familyping.editerra.se/legal/terms-sv.html), [Romanian](https://familyping.editerra.se/legal/terms-ro.html)) - [Data deletion](https://familyping.editerra.se/legal/deletion.html): delete the account in the app's Settings; immediate, no request to raise. ## Get the app - App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6779196307 - Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=se.editerra.familyping ## Who it is for Adults setting up their own phone to keep a family member informed: an older parent living alone, or a family member who wants someone to know when they are home. Two roles, the family member and the trusted helper. Both people must be 18 or older and consent for themselves. Pairing is by a single-use code the family member shows and the helper types in, so the app cannot be installed on someone else's phone secretly. The helper sees only what the member shares, and the member is notified whenever the helper asks where they are. ## What it does - Latest known status: whether the phone is at its safe place, always shown with how old that information is. Never presented as live. - SOS: one button alerts the trusted helper and rings their phone loudly. A second button cancels it with "I am okay". - Safe-place alerts: the helper is told when the member leaves or returns to the safe place the member set themselves. - Battery and connection: the helper sees battery level and whether the phone is still reporting. - Open in Maps: the helper can hand the last known place to their own maps app. ## What it is not - Not an emergency service. SOS alerts the trusted helper, not 112, 911 or any authority. - Not live tracking. The latest known position with its age, not a moving dot. - Not installable secretly. Pairing needs a code typed on the other phone; both sides see the connection and either can end it. - Not for children. It is an adult-to-adult app, 18 or older on both sides. - Not a tablet, desktop or web product. Both people need a phone. ## Pricing Free. No ads, no subscription, no sale of data. ## Languages English, Swedish (svenska), Romanian (română). ## Publisher Editerra AB, Sweden, org.nr 559441-6454. contact@editerra.se Company summary: https://www.editerra.se/llms.txt
